Cricket World Cup 2023: preview

Six weeks after India opened their campaign with a hard-fought six-wicket victory over Australia, both teams are back to do it all over again, this time with the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy on the line.

India are the hosts, favourites and proud owners of a glittering 100% record, but they’re up against a team that just has a special relationship with this competition. Australia have won the ODI World Cup a record five times, beating two-time champions India in the final 20 years ago.

The 2023 Cricket World Cup final takes place at the gargantuan Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad today, with play set to begin at 8.30am GMT.

The weather forecast is perfect, but projected early afternoon highs of 32 degrees Celsius means the team that has to field first will need to do things the hard way.

Read on as we explain how to watch a 2023 Cricket World Cup live stream online from wherever you are, including for FREE.

How to watch Cricket World Cup from outside your country

Below we've got you covered with your official broadcasting options for more cricket-loving countries (and the US!), but if you're outside your country of residence - whether that's India, Pakistan, Australia or anywhere else - and try to start streaming the 2023 Cricket World Cup via your typical broadcasting service, you'll soon discover that you can't, as it's location restricted. But there is a way to tune in regardless.

By downloading and installing a VPN, you can effectively trick your computer into thinking that it's back at home. That way you can enjoy your home coverage without having to find an illegal stream - assuming you comply with the broadcaster's fine print, of course - specifically its terms and conditions.
